I love listening to my 2 year old try to pronounce this recipe! Aebleskivers are really a yummy pancake ball made in a special pan. Thanks to my sister for introducing us to these little morsels and giving us our own official aebleskiver pan.
These are very comparable to donuts... minus the fat and grease from frying. These are now a once a week tradition- we like to create different combinations of flavors by putting different fruits, jams, or other sugary treats in the middle. It does take some practice to make a nice looking balls, but looks aren't an issue to my kids who devour them within seconds.
